It would be beneficial to have the ability to have a date field on a tracker be able to be defaulted to the current date when using the Auto Populate feature in the Advanced Transition window.

For example, we have a date field called "Development Start" that is not required until an artifact is moved to a certain status, such a "In Progress". Currently in Advanced Transition tool, you can set the Auto Populate, but you are only able to pick a specific date from the calendar pop-up, where we would actually want it to auto populate to the current date. This would make transitioning the artifacts from one status to another on the Kanban board easier as it could prefill that value that is required to move to that status, whereas currently, you have to open the artifact and update the field before you can move it across the board.
